There have been times when I watched video from the Grand Old Opry in Nashville and regularly the artists will sing a Gospel song. Or I will see a video of some other artists and they will sing a Gospel song or two. I figure it is just something they do and I put no stock in the fact that Gospel songs sung by unsaved people have no power or anointing.
But the troubling trend is when churches try to mimic entertainers in church. They call it worship. That music has no more power when they sing their so called worship songs than when a country superstar sings The Old Rugged Cross.
Why do we think that these entertainers posing as worship teams produce music that we would want to sing in our church to worship in Spirit and in Truth?
