Here is an issue that I have no answer for. In our church we have some fine young men. Good men, saved men, in school or working men. And like most young men they are interested in girls. They would like to date, and maybe have a for real girlfriend, and get married.
In our church we also have some nice young women. They are saved girls. They are church going girls. They are normal girls in that they are interested in guys. Maybe they would like to go on a date. Maybe have a boyfriend. Some of them would like to be a wife.
The problem is that these two groups of young people in our church seem to not know how to get together beyond attending church activities or shaking hands at a church service. There seems to be a great gulf fixed and it is a rare event for two young people to meet, date, get married, and fall in love. In that order.
When I think way back to when I first met the girl who would become my wife it seems so easy and it seems like it took so little effort on my part. I believe that God brought Kathy and I together. But we did have to do our part to make some kind of connection.
I pray for our teens and our young single adults. It is better to marry than to burn.
