I am going to say something that may just give away how old I am. But it is something that I need to say. I think that the young people in our churches need to be getting married. I am an advocate for getting married young, like right out of school. Either high school or college. But the first thing once you are done with school is you should be talking to pastor about setting a date to get married.
Children go through puberty and then we make them wait forever before we think they should get married. What is wrong with parents that you discourage your children from doing what God intended them to do from the dawn of creation? You are married, why not them? Your marriage failed, but why not give them a chance to do what you could not do? There is no valid excuse for children in their early 20s not being married.
I think that in spite of the sodomites who reject God and marriage, and in spite of the national moral climate that promotes promiscuity instead of monogamy, young people need to do what is best for themselves and get married. Dating and courting are just means to an end. You do not need to learn how to date. You need to find an eligible mate and marry them. If they are not in your church, find one where you can.
It's time to stop finding 100 reasons not to get married and instead find one reason why marriage is in your future this year. 2022. Dad, mom, grandpa, grandma, pastor, sons, and daughters. Find a reason and pray and ask God to make it happen for you. I believe God will bless you when you do what He says is best for you.
