There are churches who believe that salvation is the greatest miracle. I wonder if what they are really saying is that salvation is the only miracle. These are churches who believe that anyone can be saved from sin. These same churches also do not believe that you speak in tongues when you are filled with the Holy Spirit. These are churches that will pray for you when you are ill, but do not heal the sick. These are churches who stand upon the Bible as the inerrant Word of God. And these are churches who have no real life illustrations but who only preach Bible stories. These churches believe that Jesus did what he did because he was God. And these are churches who think that miracles ended with the death of the last apostle.
So we find that God can work a miracle to save you. But then God's grace does nothing more for you. It's all pie in the sky, in the sweet by and by. Only once in a great while, and often in the foreign mission field, God might work a miracle.
I believe it is time for God to take the field for us. It is time for the church today to fulfil it's Divine calling in the earth. Preach to the poor, heal the sick, cast out devils, raise the dead. It's time for those who name the name of Jesus to do the greater works that Jesus said we would do in His name. Amen!
These do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God.
