I remember when pastor Mitchell used to say that the Prescott conference was a "people's conference". I do not fully understand what he meant by that, but we had so few churches out that the bulk of the crowd was just folks, not pastors.
I also remember when I first noticed that the Prescott conference speakers were preaching to their fellow pastors, and not to any regular folk.
One more thing that I noticed was how conference became primarily about planting churches. That the whole reason for existing was based on the number of new works planted, not on the quality of the ministry during the week.
Conference sure has changed over the years.
