Well, our conference is over. The funny thing about saying that is that in some ways conference is just the beginning. New churches were launched. New missionaries were announced. For those going this is an exciting time. For us who send them it is also exciting, but in a different way.
Pastor Greg was our main speaker, both this morning and tonight. Pastor Greg preached two of the best sermons that I have ever heard him preach. Even though he was aiming at pastors and ministers, I got some manna from both of his sermons today.
Some of our pastors who preached this week did a good job, but there is a limit to their preaching linked to their limited experience. Men like pastor Warner and pastor Campbell and pastor Greg and pastor Rubi have a depth to their ministry; that their words go far beyond their intended audience.
Young disciples think that it is all about the anointing. All we need is for God to move. Pastor Greg told them that they need to learn how to preach better. These guys need to study and practice and learn how to be better communicators. No church will grow beyond the skill of the pastor to minister a word like apples of gold in pitchers of silver.
I counted 6 international churches and 6 domestic churches with several changes. It was a lot like Prescott, but on a smaller scale. I estimate we had around 2000 in attendance.
