On Temptation

 "be sure your sin will find you out" Numbers 32:23b

We use this scripture to warn folks that if they sin, their sin will be discovered and brought out into the open. That may be true. Could it also mean that if we put ourselves in certain situations, sin will discover a way to entice us into doing what we might not do otherwise? 

In this text the meaning was; if the tribes did not keep their word to Moses, that Joshua and the elders would find out about it. Sin is not just smoking and drinking and watching porn. Sin is not keeping your word or breaking your vows to the Lord.

We are tempted because we are human. Evil spirits cannot force you to sin, unless you are demon possessed. God never entices us to sin. We sin because we want to. 

"But each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own desires and enticed." James 1:14
