Why is it so hard for our young people to meet, date, court, and get married today? There is a natural, God given attraction between men and women. There is a drive in young men to want to find a wife. There is a yearning desire in young women to want to find a husband.
The homosexual movement is a way to short circuit God's plan. It takes little effort to find and attract and connect with someone who is just like you. It takes a lot of work to find and connect with someone of the opposite sex. But the prize is worth the price!
I wonder what we, as a local church, can do to help facilitate marriage among our young people?
It seemed so easy as I look back on my life. I was born again, and I noticed that there were saved young women who seemed attractive to me. Girls who had become discouraged over the lack of good men to date and to marry decided to pray about that situation and ask God to help them find husbands. It worked!
If you aim at nothing, that is what you will hit. Nothing. If you aim to get married, there is a good chance that is what will happen. If what you are currently doing is not producing the desired results, maybe it's time to try a new approach.
Unless you really think that staying single is desirable. What if your parents had felt like that?
I think that it really takes only a tiny bit of effort to do what people have been doing since the Garden.
