" So when they measured it by omers, he who gathered much had nothing left over, and he who gathered little had no lack. Every man had gathered according to each one's need." Exod.16:18
Manna was the way that God sustained Israel in the wilderness for 40 years. Day after day, week after week, month after month, year after year. The manna was always there. It was nutritious. It was satisfying to the soul. It was always just enough.
There is a lesson for the church to learn in the manna. Enough is enough. God may not give you all that you want. But He always gives us enough. Godliness with contentment is great gain. Ambition and competition had no place in the wilderness. Everyone had just enough.
I am grateful for this, that no matter how much I take in, it is always enough to meet my needs. Money is important in life. Money is you in a spendable form. Money is necessary. And for the little that I bring in, I live pretty well. No lack is just enough for the day.
"Therefore do not worry, saying, what shall we eat or what shall we wear? " Mat.6:31
My prayer is that you will, day by day, always have enough.
