Transhumanism Beyond Redemption?

 "And the smoke of their torment ascends forever and ever; and they have no rest day or night, who worship the beast and his image, and whoever receives the mark of his name." Rev.14:11

I have always thought that the mark of the beast was a future event that happens after the rapture and during the great tribulation. But with the rise of AI and the belief in transhumanism I am not so sure but that people are worshipping the beast and receiving his mark today.

I noticed while reading this that people will receive the mark. It will not be by violence or by force. People will willingly and enthusiastically receive the mark and be proud to receive it.

There is a unique judgement on those who follow the beast. 

"Then a third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, if anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives his mark on his forehead or his hand, he himself shall also drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out full strength into the cup of His indignation. He shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb." Rev.14:9-10

Christ became a man to redeem mankind from sin. Christ did not die for animals or for machines. And if by becoming transhuman you are no longer human, then you are outside the scope of redemption. You have become like the Nephilim, who were the reason why the Flood came to destroy the world.

Note that this is a worship issue. Who you worship is your god. God will not share His glory with another. We become like the gods that we worship.
